Giants soar over the Eagles for a 27-17 victory in the NFC East showdown.

Daniel Jones and the New York Giants defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in there second matchup of the season. After losing by 1 because of a dropped pass from Evan Engram, the Giants take care of business this time around. Daniel Jones had his first back to back clean sheet in his young career. Two games with 0 turnovers and smart decision making. He threw for 244 yards on 21/28 throws. He added 9 rushes for 64 yards and a touchdown. The Duke product showed off his speed and athleticism when he ran for a 34 yard touchdown on the Giants opening drive. Jason Garett utilized his athleticism against the Eagles and it worked like a charm. Jones played his second straight game in which he looked like a franchise quarterback. Fans had started to speculate that Jones's ball security was becoming too big of a problem. Many had started a #tankfortrevor chain on social media; Fans were hoping to draft Clemson star Trevor Lawrence to take over Jones's spot. However, his recent games show a positive sign for Giants fans and if his play continues to be like this then the Giants may indeed be playoff contenders. Wayne Gallman also put on a show, separating himself from the Giants committee of running backs, and solidifying himself as the lead running back as Saquan Barkely, the Giants star running back, is out for the season with a torn ACL. He only had 53 rushing yards on 18 carries. Even though he only had a 2.9 YPC (yards per carry), he had 2 touchdowns certifying himself as the best red zone running back for the Giants. Shepard and Slayton led the receivers with Shepard having 6 completions for 47 yards and Slayton adding 5 receptions for 94 yards. Slayton and Jones connected for multiple deep bombs. They started off the game with a 22 yard play in which Slayton was injured, but he was able to return. In the 4th quarter Jones and Slayton connected for a 40 yard bomb that basically sealed the deal. Defensively the Giants didn't force any turnovers, but they held the Eagles to 3 points in the first half. They allowed 14 points in the second half, but got the stops they needed to seal the game. They arguably had their best game as they allowed zero 3rd down conversions. Getting stops early in the drive allows for long yardage third downs and more flexible play calling for Patrick Graham to get the offense back on the field. Both the Giants and the Eagles had 22 first downs indicating that the Eagles had success on 1st and 2nd downs. However, if they got to third down the Giants locked up and got the stop the entire game. Jabrill Peppers was the star on defense, getting key stops and making strong tackles to lead the Giants defense. Overall, Joe Judge had a great gameplan and executed his plan very well and helped the Giants win 2 games in a row for the first time since weeks 3 and 4 of last season. The 3-7 Giants will now enjoy a much earned bye week and prepare for Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in week 12 of the NFL as they look to make it 3 wins straight.
